At Night We Believe
Mixed media collage on canvas. Against a dark charcoal ground, Ferron builds layered paper forms: cream, ochre, raw umber, and cerulean shapes constructing abstract botanicals. Hard-edged geometric petals in coral and yellow. The paper is cut, not painted — the edges are decisions made with scissors and X-acto knives. Depth comes from overlap and tonal shift, not perspective. Influenced by Rex Ray’s geometric hard-edge sensibility applied to organic subjects.
