Acquire

Direct. Simple. Signed.

JG Art Gallery sells the work it represents. No third parties, no mystery, no inflated retail markup. The price you see is the price the artist agreed to. The work ships from where it lives — usually our Bainbridge Island or Park City rooms, sometimes the studio. Each acquisition is documented, provenance-recorded, and carries the gallery's research file.

Section 1

How to Buy

1

Find the work

Browse the Collection or visit a gallery in person. Each artwork page lists the medium, dimensions, edition or unique status, year, current location, and price.

2

Inquire

Use the inquiry button on the artwork page or write to us directly. We respond personally — usually same business day. We answer every question we can answer truthfully and tell you when we can't.

3

Hold

If you need time to live with a decision, we can place a 7-day hold. Holds are good faith on both sides; we won't sell to someone else during a hold without telling you first.

4

Confirm

Once you decide, we send a written invoice with the work's full details. Payment by wire, card, or ACH. International collectors: we handle export documentation.

5

Receive

Domestic shipping is white-glove or fine-art freight, fully insured, scheduled to your availability. International shipping is hand-coordinated case by case. Pickup from either gallery is welcome.

6

Live with it

Every acquisition includes the research file: artist biography, provenance record, exhibition history, condition notes, and care instructions. Stored at your collector portal — yours forever, exportable on request.

Works above $250 are acquired by inquiry rather than checkout — collecting at this level is a conversation, not a cart.

Section 2

Trade Program

For interior designers, architects, art consultants, and corporate art programs. The trade program offers a 15% professional courtesy on most works, project-priced quotes for installations of three or more, and direct access to the gallery's research and conservation networks.

Eligibility

Active design professionals, registered consultants, or corporate procurement. We verify with a current portfolio link, business license, or AIA / IIDA / ASID membership.

Discount

15% off list price on most works. Some artists' contracts exclude trade pricing — those works are flagged on the artwork page. We tell you up front.

Project pricing

Three or more works for the same project receive a custom quote. Includes coordinated framing, packaging, and delivery to a single site or multiple locations.

Resources

Access to our conservator network, framing partners, and provenance research team. Available to trade members at cost.

Section 3

Financing

We work with collectors at a range of price points and recognize that meaningful work isn't always a one-payment decision. We offer two financing paths.

Gallery payment plan

Direct with the gallery. Pay in two, three, or four installments over up to 12 months, no interest. Work is held in our climate-controlled storage until paid in full or — if you prefer — released after the first installment with a written acquisition agreement.

Available on most works above $2,500. No application, no credit check; trust on both sides.

Art Money

Through our partnership with Art Money, qualified collectors can pay over 10 monthly installments at 0% interest. 10% deposit, application via Art Money's secure portal. Available on works between $1,000 and $50,000.

Approval typically same day. International availability varies.

Financing is a conversation, not a contract. If neither path fits, ask. We have arranged things you wouldn't expect.

Section 4

Shipping & Returns

Domestic shipping

White-glove fine-art delivery within the contiguous United States, fully insured at acquired value. Scheduled to your availability — typically 7 to 14 business days from confirmation. Alaska and Hawaii: case by case, freight-quoted.

Shipping is included on most acquisitions above $5,000; quoted separately below that threshold.

International shipping

Hand-coordinated through fine-art freight specialists. We handle export documentation, customs forms, and import-VAT estimates before you commit. Crating to museum standards. Marine cargo insurance throughout transit.

Tokyo, London, Paris, São Paulo, and beyond. Quoted at inquiry stage, never as a surprise.

Pickup

Pickup welcome at either gallery — Bainbridge Island, Washington or Park City, Utah. Schedule by appointment. We can prepare the work for transport in your vehicle or hand it off to your shipper.

Returns

If a work arrives damaged or differs materially from its description, we accept return for full refund — including return shipping — within 14 days of delivery. Photograph any damage on receipt; that protects you and us. Buyer's-remorse returns are not standard, but we'll talk; this is a relationship, not a transaction.

Questions before you commit?

We answer every inquiry personally. Tell us what you're considering and we'll tell you everything we know about the work, the artist, the market, and the practical details. No pressure. No upsell. The work either belongs in your life or it doesn't.
