I build up the surface in layers — worn, weathered, antiqued — until the ground carries the feeling of something that has traveled through time. Then the blossoms come: white and pale pink, cascading diagonally, some fully present with their stamens and small glints of gold and teal, others fading into looser, more ghostly forms. That flat plane of lighter coral-pink cutting across the right edge is the modern interruption — the bold, unexpected stroke where gentle old meets dynamic new. Antiqued fresco look; acrylic / mixed media on canvas. 12 × 12 × 2 in. 2026.
