I work into worn, familiar surfaces — layered textures that feel as though they've aged across many generations — then I interrupt them with something modern and unexpected. In Garden Dance, scattered rose and pink bloom clusters drift across a sage ground alongside small white five-petaled flowers, while a bold dark blue starburst cuts through on the right: the gentle old meeting the dynamic new. A corner of orange-red patterned paper, woven through with white florals and bird motifs, anchors the vintage Chinoiserie spirit beneath it all. Mixed media on paper · 36 × 48 in · 2025
