I worked into this small piece the kind of quiet the island offers if you simply stop — a wren holding still among leaf prints and branching forms, the world reduced to what matters. The collage and textured elements let me layer that stillness, building a moment of respite from the noise outside. This is the habitat I return to, the one I want to leave behind.
